“Dinner 911″ Comes to Your Kitchen

Posted in Dinner 911 on 19.07.11 by Smart Ingredients

As we work hard to establish our new “Dinner 911″ video channel, we wanted to create a way to bring Dinner 911 help right to your kitchen. Since our audience is nationwide, we know there’s no way we could show up at all of your doors with Smart Ingredients. But we do want to show you all how Smart Ingredients can help in your own homes. We know you share the feeling that sometimes you just don’t think you have what you need on hand to make dinner, and sometimes feel like calling on “Dinner 911″. Send us a video of your cabinets and kitchen. We will show you how incorporating just a few Smart Ingredients into your grocery list will help your cabinets “add up” to dinner every night. Each video sent within the following guidelines will become part of an instructional cooking video on the soon-to-be-launched Dinner 911 YouTube channel. Videos may also be used on television segments, so please only send us a video if we have your permission to show it publicly. Also included on our new channel will be dozens of “How to” videos for basic meals that you can likely make with ingredients you already have at home. Dinner 911… to the rescue!

Video guidelines:

  • Start your video by showing yourself, stating your name, your location, and why you are calling “Dinner 911″.
  • Show us what you’ve got in your cabinets and refrigerator. Give us an idea of your shopping style and why what you buy doesn’t always add up to dinner.
  • Tell us any other challenges you have with cooking and getting dinner on the table.
  • Many video formats are acceptable, including those taken from your phone.
  • Keep video to 3-minutes or less.
  • Send video via e-mail to info@organizingdinner.com, or via mail to Organizing Dinner, 713 Bark Ct., Lake Barrington, IL 60010.

Also, just posted today, a great recipe for homemade bagels. If you always have on hand a packet of Smart Ingredient RED STAR yeast, and common kitchen ingredients flour, water, sugar, oil and salt, you can make your own delicious bagels for less than half the cost of the grocery store…. not to mention the bakery!
